EGHA 2012-2013 EXECUTIVE
The EGHA would like to thank all volunteers for their hard work and dedication over the past season. With a special "thank you" going out to the President (John Aru) and Vice President of Hockey Operations (Robb Cavell) who have fulfilled their term and did not seek reelection at the AGM this evening.

CONDITIONING CAMPS
EGHA Conditioning Camps
When: August 20- 24, 2012
Where: Kinsmen Arena
Time:
Atom/Pee Wee 3:45-4:45
Bantam/Midget 5:00-6:00
Cost: $150/week
Instruction will be provided by highly trained coaches from the Edmonton area. This is a great way to start to get in shape for hockey!
Full equipment is required for participation.
Registration procedure will be posted soon.

2011-2012 EGHA COACH OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS
At Edmonton Girls Hockey we are blessed with some of the best coaches in the province. Some are parents, many are not. Some are male, some are female, but they all have one thing in common - they are GREAT VOLUTEERS and we salute them all.
The Richard Hart Trophy will be awarded for the best coach in EGHA at the end of every season. Nominate your coach by writing us a letter or email and telling us why you think he or she is the best coach. Tell us what makes your coach special and why they deserve their name on the trophy. The nomination is not limited to head coaches, assistants may be nominated. Submissions may come from parents or players. A panel will review all nominations and decide a winner. The selected coach will be honored at the EGHA AGM. A picture of the winner will also be posted on the website along with the names of all nominees. The deadline for submitting your nomination letter is May 11, 2012. All players and parents submitting letters will have their names entered into a prize draw. Please send your letter by e-mail to: vicepres@egha.ab.ca.
About Richard Hart: Mr. Hart has volunteered with EGHA for many years. He does not have children that play hockey but he has coached many teams for us. He has also served as our league governor and has been an active volunteer on numerous committees over the years including coach selection. Mr. Hart is just a regular guy who does a whole lot of volunteer work for girls hockey without calling a lot of attention to himself. So we named this trophy after him, it was the least we could do. He is one of our many unsung heroes.

OFFICIAL 2011-2012 TAX RECEIPTS
The EGHA emailed out all 2011-2012 receipts for tax purposes on February 23, 2012. They were sent to the email address that was provided at the time of registration. If you did not receive your receipt, please email registrar@egha.ab.ca with your daughter's full legal name, team and your correct email address.

1st Annual Daddy's Little Sweetheart Ball
The Rainbow Society of Alberta is a non profit registered charity dedicated to fulfilling wishes for Alberta children with a chronic or life-threatening medical illness. The 1st Annual Daddy's Little Sweetheart ball is a new event and significant fundraiser for the society.
