RESPECT IN SPORT PARENT - MANDATORY 2012-2012 SEASON
As per the new Hockey Alberta and Hockey Edmonton mandate, Respect in Sport – Parents will be mandatory for next season. In order to register your child for the 2012-2013 season, you must first complete the Respect in Sport - Parent online course. The EGHA is strongly recommending all parents complete the program at their earliest convenience, as we are not permitted to accept registrations next season unless your family has completed the online program. RESPECT IN SPORT - PARENT PROGRAM The Respect in Sport Parent Program is an effective and informative online training program for parents of active children. This one hour online certification program reinforces a parents role in a child or youth's activities, encouraging positive sport behaviours, and providing insight into the various roles other individuals (such as coaches and officials) play. This program empowers parents to ensure the safety of their children, encourage positive and effective communication, and to enhance a child's fun and camaraderie of the activity. The number one reason cited for coaches, managers and officials of all ages leaving a sport is unacceptable parent behaviour. Let the Respect in Sport Parent Program help assert proper parent behaviours to create a more rewarding, safe and respectful environment for all parties involved. 2012 RE/MAX ALL-STAR GAME
All players, families and hockey fans are invited to attend the 2012 Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League’s All-Star game.
